Classy Chassis Expands With Acquisition of Express Car Wash

Classy Chassis Car Washes & Detailing, award-winning and locally owned and operated car-care company, announced the acquisition of Wet Rabbit Express Car Wash’s Lakewood site, located at 9021 S. Tacoma Way in Lakewood, Washington.

This agreement reflects a strategic alignment between two established regional operators. By allowing each company to concentrate more deeply within its respective core market, the transaction strengthens Wet Rabbit’s position in the northern region of the state, while further reinforcing Classy Chassis’ expanding presence in the South Sound area. The partnership creates long-term operational advantages for both brands while maintaining strong local ownership within the communities they serve.

The Lakewood location adds a significant node to Classy Chassis’ existing network of sites in its home county of Pierce, increasing geographic density in a high-traffic urban corridor. The acquisition enables greater coverage for the company’s Fleet customers and Unlimited Club members, while creating new demand pathways for Wet Rabbit customers in Pierce County who previously had access to only the single site.

The acquisition also presents a significant cross-service opportunity for Classy Chassis, as a new customer base will be introduced to the company’s uniquely broad suite of services, and have access to far more than just traditional car washing: full-service washes, 24-hour self-serve and touchless washes, professional detailing, drive-thru oil changes, self-serve dog washes, and Classic Coffee Drive-Thrus.

“This acquisition is a natural extension of our growth strategy,” said Corey Campbell, Classy Chassis President. “Lakewood is a market we know well and have served for over 40 years. Adding this location deepens our network, strengthens the value of our wash programs, and gives us a platform to bring the full Classy Chassis experience to more customers. We’re building something comprehensive here – not just a collection of car washes, but an integrated car-care ecosystem across Pierce County.”
