The New York State Car Wash Association will have its Fall membership meeting and tour on Thursday, October 29. The association will also be voting its 2027 officer slate at the meeting. Registration is online only at NYSCWA.com and is $65 for members and $75 for non-members. Prepayment is due by October 22.
The meeting/bus tour begins at 10:30 a.m. at G & G Industrial Lighting, 10 Hermes Rd., Malta, NY, at Exit 12 off the Northway, with a brief tour and lunch. According to the meeting flyer, G & G brings durable, purpose-built lighting to the world’s most challenging environments. More information about G & G is at their website at www.ggled.net.
Tours will be to two renovated sites, Spritz Car Wash at 1588 US9 in Halfmoon, NY and Hoffman Car Wash in Loudonville, NY.
The first Spritz wash at the Halfmoon site opened in 2005. Earlier this year the company demoed the site, taking out the old PDQ G65’s and replacing them with new PDQ 360 Laserwashers. There are new walls, roofing, siding, lighting, blacktop and more.
Once the shortest tunnel in Hoffman’s business, the Loudonville car wash has seen several incarnations with the most recent being the most significant. With the addition of an AVW belt conveyor and InnovateIT equipment and prepless washing, the location
has seen an 88% increase in volume.
Attendees will arrive back at G & G at 3:30 p.m.
