Splash Car Wash, headquartered in Milford, Connecticut, has acquired of USA Car Wash in Hempstead, New York. The Hempstead store is Splash’s 69th location, and its 43rd location in New York.
The new location will be converted to a Splash Express location over the next few months. The wash will be retrofitted with all new equipment and will add self-service vacuums.
“We will operate it as an express wash with flex full service and detail available”, stated Dan Petrelle, CEO of Splash. “We are excited to expand our footprint on Long Island. This is our fourth location there and we have additional sites lined up to acquire and develop over the next few months in that market.” Petrelle added.
It is anticipated that renovations will begin in September when the site will close for two weeks during
the conversion.
In addition to the car washes described above, Splash has four new express washes under construction in Newburgh and Nanuet New York and one in Springfield, Massachusetts, with anticipated openings in the late fall 2025. The fourth in Syracuse, New York, will open in the first quarter of 2026.
