The Car Wash Operators of New Jersey (CWONJ) held its first event at Shore Car Club, a private car storage and members club here on August 18 from 11-2pm. The event included a barista bar food truck, catered lunch, wine, beer and soft drinks for operators and their friends thanks to a number of sponsors.
“We have never done anything like this before and it was great,” said Dino Nicoletta, CWONJ’s President. “Being exposed to these impressive cars in such a state-of-the-art setting gave our members a unique opportunity to network in a relaxed, low-key environment while stepping away from the demands of their businesses for a few hours.”
Shore Car Club is a 40,000-square-foot members club, event space and private storage solution for car collectors and enthusiasts. It features 14 private garages with discreet and private access, two indoor wash bays and secure storage for 110 vehicles, in addition to seven luxurious members’ spaces. The members’ spaces include a 6,000-square-foot lounge, an Old-World style library, a game room that features a Trackman golf simulator and wo state-of-the-art driving simulators in addition to outdoor terraces, as well as modern co-working spaces.
The facility is owned by Bryan, Michelle and Dayna Gold. Michael Salerno is a co-founder. The venue opened in November of 2025 and is the first of its kind in the Garden State. It’s striking design and style was conceptualized by Jacob Bek of Clark & Green, and Bek and Marc Thorpe of Marc Thorpe Design & Architecture. According to Dayna Gold, “Members can expect to enjoy the modern and thoughtful design of the club that still feels relaxed and personal. The concept was born out of our own interests — we are car enthusiasts with a deep appreciation for design, architecture, timepieces, excellent food and drinks and meaningful connections.”
Attendees appeared to appreciate the effort that went into the site and its design and content. “The venue and cars here are impressive,” according to Vacutech’s Victor Thomas, an event sponsor. “I hope to come back next year and bring some of my friends who will be very impressed with this facility.”
