Article by Kyle Doyle, Founder at IgniteDrive LABS: After 30 years in car washing, I’m starting something new.
IgniteDrive Labs is officially underway: I’ve had the opportunity to see this industry from a lot of different angles: growing up in a family car wash business, building and selling a POS company, consulting with operators, working inside a PE-backed car wash platform, building Salespath, and most recently spending the last two years at Rinsed after they acquired it.

One thing I’ve learned is that some of the hardest problems in car washing don’t fit neatly into a software category or a traditional consulting engagement.
They sit between technology, operations, people and revenue. That’s the idea behind IgniteDrive Labs.
We’re starting with a few problems I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about:
Car Wash Tech Stack Advisory — helping operators understand the technology environment they actually have, design what it should become, and navigate migrations and implementation.
Revenue Engineering — moving beyond member count and simple conversion toward a more sophisticated system for creating durable revenue across the customer lifecycle.
The 90-Day Sales System — helping operators get more from their existing sales tools and teams by installing the coaching, management and accountability system around them.
And we’re building Car Wash Sentinel, a new industry intelligence platform that I’ll have more to share about later this year.
I called it a “Labs” company deliberately. I want this to be a place where we can get close to hard problems, study what is actually happening, borrow ideas from outside our industry, test things in the field, and sometimes turn what we learn into new products.
Some of that will be advisory work. Some will be research. Some will become technology.
The common thread is pretty simple: Find important problems in car washing and do the work to understand them well enough to build something useful.
About Kyle Doyle
Kyle Doyle built the car wash industry’s first cloud-based point-of-sale platform, made technology and operating decisions inside a private equity-backed operator, and later founded Salespath, a frontline sales platform whose approach to technology-enabled driveway selling has since become increasingly common across the industry. After Salespath was acquired by Rinsed, he worked inside one of the industry’s leading technology providers. That path gives IgniteDrive a rare understanding of how platforms are built and sold, how operators actually use them, and how technology decisions shape revenue, workflows, customer experience and growth.
