A new car wash wrap and mitter cleaner from Arcadian Services, WrapRenew, is making facility cleaning in tunnel washes and friction in-bay automatics a faster process. According to Kipp Kofsky, president and CEO of Arcadian, the result for operators using WrapRenew is substantially lower cleaning downtime and longer lifetime of wraps and mitters.
Kofsky said WrapRenew is designed with Arcadian’s exclusive safer-to-use 10 pH chemistry which removes soils, dirt, mold, mildew and grime without damaging surfaces or skin. The cleaner penetrates the wrap and mitter materials, releasing and removing unwanted soils, allowing them to easily wash away. The result, he said, is clean, renewed cloth, foam, microfiber, terry, and other surfaces, ready for continued use, ensuring scratch-free washing.

According to Kofsky, the timely cleaning dramatically reduces downtime, which in turn increases the number of vehicles ultimately passing through the facility as well as the store’s productivity and profitability.
“One of the constant complaints we were hearing from operators is that they couldn’t get their wraps or mitters cleaned,” Kofsky said. “So they were spending money on replacements. Everyone thought cleaning these materials was easy, but in reality, cleaning this media was far more difficult to accomplish, and that is why wanted to find a solution for the industry to clean instead of replacing them, avoiding spending capital expenditure dollars.”
WrapRenew, which was introduced at this year’s Car Wash Show in Nashville in May, was created over at least six different generations of development, better than a year of experiments, and field tests with select operators. It can be used directly from the factory container or transferred to other dispensers. It is a concentrated product which can be diluted up to 50% or used at full strength for extremely soiled materials. It is available in 1, 5, 15, 30, 55 and 275 gallon containers.

- Reclaim Defender, which effectively removes the unpleasant rotten egg smell caused by hydrogen sulfide gas, which can damage equipment and pose health risks when inhaled. It also reduces sludge, purifies water and enhances the clarity of reclaimed water. All Reclaim Defender products are non-hazardous do not contain hydrogen peroxide or chloride, which both are oxidizers and can cause damage to equipment.
